Job summary

Saks OFF 5TH is seeking a Sales Associate who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. You will deliver exceptional customer service, guide shoppers through promotions, and promote Saks credit card while building lasting relationships.

In this role you will assist customers with merchandise location, maintain store displays, and contribute to achieving sales targets and loyalty program participation. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required, with a strong fashion knowledge base.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a retail, customer service, or sales environment.
• Proven sales track record and results driven mindset.
• Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence to succeed.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver a high standard of customer service and build exceptional customer relationships.
• Thorough knowledge of the fashion industry and a passion for sharing your expertise.
• Ability to act promptly in routine situations and see a clear plan of action to a positive result in the customer.
• Ability to operate equipment such as radios, POS register, ticket scanners, and sensor removers.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs.
• Be familiar with store inventory to provide customers with best product recommendations.
• Greet customers and educate them on current promotions.
• Promote Saks credit card and foster repeat business through relationships.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Resolve customer issues aligning with trust, integrity and respect.
• Aim to meet individual and store sales, customer acquisition and loyalty goals.
• Maintain selling floor and fitting rooms, re-size fixtures, sign fixtures and windows as needed.
• Complete markdowns with urgency and accuracy according to company standards.
• Participate in store programs and events and ensure displays conform to brand standards.
