Job summary

Public Veil, a NYC-based fast-growing women's fashion brand, is seeking a Production Manager to own execution from tech pack to delivery. You will be the main liaison with our factories in Asia, ensuring styles stay on time, on cost, and on quality.

In this role you will spec garments, build complete tech packs, gather cost breakdowns, drive sample approvals, set QC standards, coordinate freight, and report production status weekly while collaborating with design, merchandising, and planning.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in apparel production.
• Experience working directly with factories in Asia.
• Experience building tech packs from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, costing, and production calendars.
• Highly organized with strong follow-up skills and ability to handle multiple styles.
• Startup mindset: hands-on, proactive, solutions-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily communication with factories in Asia, including calendars, WIP tracking, and issue resolution.
• Spec garments and build complete tech packs with measurements, construction details, BOMs, and grading.
• Gather cost breakdowns, confirm FOBs, and issue/maintain POs for garments and fabric.
• Drive sample approvals (fit, pre-production, top-of-production) against tech packs.
• Set and enforce QC standards, review inspection reports, and manage defects.
• Coordinate freight and inbound shipments to 3PL, aligning deliveries with launches.
• Report weekly on production status, margins, and risks.
• Partner with design, merchandising, and planning.

The Role

We're looking for a Production Manager to own execution from tech pack to delivery. You'll be the main point of contact with our factories in Asia and keep every style on time, on cost, and on quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily communication with our factories in Asia, including time & action calendars, WIP tracking, and resolving issues fast
• Spec garments and build complete tech packs, including measurements, construction details, BOMs, and grading, for new and existing styles
• Gather cost breakdowns, confirm FOBs, and issue and maintain POs for garments and fabric
• Drive sample approvals (fit, pre-production, top-of-production) against tech packs
• Set and enforce QC standards, review inspection reports, and manage defects
• Coordinate freight and inbound shipments to our 3PL, keeping delivery dates aligned with launches
• Report weekly on production status, margins, and risks
• Partner closely with design, merchandising, and planning

Requirements

• 4+ years in apparel production
• Proven experience working directly with factories in Asia
• Hands-on experience specing garments and building tech packs from scratch
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, costing, and the production calendar
• Highly organized, with strong follow-up skills and comfort juggling many styles at once
