Job summary

Hill House Home is seeking a motivated Product Development Intern to join our New York team for the Fall semester. This is a hands-on opportunity to get real exposure to product development and production operations.

The internship involves file organizing, fittings, sample management, and supporting the Product Development team while you learn about garment fit, fabrics, and costing in a fast‑paced fashion brand.

Qualifications

• Curious about production &/or product development.
• Interested in women’s apparel, lifestyle brands and e-commerce businesses.
• Motivated and eager to learn.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Comfortable working with physical samples and operational processes.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Drive) and/or Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• File and organize approved bulk submissions by season, ensuring all strike-off approvals are properly documented.
• Attend fittings to learn how garment fit, fabrics, and styling affect costing.
• Support development fittings, including steaming samples, organizing fit racks, and capturing images for weekly folders.
• Help keep shared drives and systems organized and up to date.
• Maintain and update the sample tracker and assist in distributing samples and materials.
• Manage sample organization and outbound shipments, tracking and packing as needed.
• Assist with archive management and cataloguing by collection/season.
• Save and organize invoices, packing lists, and bulk goods inspection reports.
• Assist with general product development and production tasks.
