Job summary

SEE Eyewear in Pittsburgh seeks an Optical Stylist who blends fashion and optical expertise to deliver personalized service. You’ll build relationships, advise on frames, and contribute to a boutique experience that keeps clients returning.

This role requires night and weekend availability, retail experience, and comfort with POS systems and insurance portals. Training is provided for right candidates, including those new to optical retail.

Qualifications

• Retail sales experience and ability to meet sales goals.
• Ability to build long-term client relationships through follow-ups and personalized communication.
• Knowledge of fashion trends and styling techniques for eyewear.
• Strong communication skills with customers and team members.
• Proficiency with POS systems and basic insurance-related processes.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Teams, and OneDrive.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of the SEE brand—merging fashion, optical expertise, and personalized service in every customer interaction.
• Deliver a high-touch, fashion-forward client experience grounded in SEE’s styling and selling standards.
• Maintain an active client book and practice intentional clienteling to drive repeat business.
• Meet or exceed individual sales goals and KPIs; partner with teammates for team-sell and seamless customer experience.
• Share knowledge of fashion trends and styling techniques to create memorable eyewear moments.
• Partner with an optometrist several days a week to support a seamless patient experience while driving sales.
• Become an expert on SEE’s exclusive frame collections and lens offerings; style clients with confidence.
• Maintain merchandising and visual standards reflecting SEE’s boutique experience.
• Process sales and insurance information using POS and practice management systems.
• Handle daily operations such as opening/closing, register balancing, and deposits.
• Follow SEE policies on pricing, discounts, remakes, returns, and promotions; use downtime for store upkeep.
• Stay vigilant for security risks and report theft or safety incidents.
