Base Pay Range

$28.00/hr - $30.00/hr

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Apparel Development Technician to join our innovation and development team. The primary responsibility of this role is to sew garments accurately according to the provided patterns, tech packs, and measurement sheets.

This role requires precision, speed, and a deep understanding of garment construction techniques to produce high-quality prototypes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately stitch garments following the provided pattern, tech pack, and measurement sheet.
  • Ensure finished garments meet strict quality standards, including accurate measurements, proper seam alignment, and correct construction details.
  • Operate various industrial sewing machines (single needle, double needle, overlock, bar‑tack, etc.) safely and efficiently.
  • Independently cut patterns/fabrics as needed for sample creation.
  • Work with various fabric types, including denim, twill, knits, and other woven or non‑woven materials.
  • Inspect garments during and after sewing to ensure compliance with specifications and identify defects.
  • Follow development timelines to meet daily and weekly production goals.
  • Communicate with the supervisor about any technical issues or discrepancies in patterns or instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
  • Adhere to all company safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years as a sewing operator in garment manufacturing (denim experience preferred).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and execute garment construction from tech packs, patterns, and measurement sheets.
  • Proficiency with various industrial sewing machines and garment construction techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent quality control skills.
  • Good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced development environment.
  • Basic knowledge of workplace safety practices.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while operating sewing machines.
  • Capability to lift fabric rolls or bundles weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Good vision and focus to work with intricate garment details.
Performance Metrics
  • Accuracy of stitching and compliance with tech pack and measurement specifications.
  • Productivity levels in meeting or exceeding daily and weekly production targets.
  • Consistently high quality of finished garments with minimal defects.
  • Adherence to company safety and operational protocols.
