Job summary

Walmart is hiring a store leadership role in Yorktown, VA. You will supervise and develop hourly associates, hire and train staff, mentor teams, and promote a culture of belonging while ensuring excellent customer service and a strong store performance.

You will oversee P&L, budgeting, merchandising, inventory, and operational processes, implementing plans to meet sales goals and reduce shrink. The role emphasizes integrity, teamwork, and delivering value to customers and members.

Qualifications

• 2 years' college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
• For facilities that sell firearms, I acknowledge that the position for which I am applying will require successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
• Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring of associates; assigning duties and recognizing performance.
• Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates; communicating and collaborating with all levels of staff regarding store operations and company direction.
• Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses to meet goals.
• Ensures customer service standards and resolves customer issues, implementing action plans to improve deficiencies.
