Job summary

Acclaim Technical Services seeks a Farsi Instructor to support a government agency in Reston, VA. You will teach, translate, transcribe, and interpret to support language services for government stakeholders.

You must have 5 years of adult-level instruction within the last 5 years and hold an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. The role is 40 hours weekly, with about half devoted to teaching and half to lesson development and assessment.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or Language preferred.
• 5 years of adult-level instruction experience within the last 5 years.
• Language Instruction/Facilitation.
• Language Testing.
• Course Design.
• Content Management.
• Editing and Quality Control of language products.
• Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise.
• Writing Reports.
• Selection in various media.

Responsibilities

• Work 40 hours a week, with roughly 20 hours teaching and 20 hours on lesson development, student assessment and testing.
• Work under the direction of experienced senior trained instructors.
• Complete sponsor-specific training to become certified per Sponsor standards.
