Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate; preferred technical school in farm management; ongoing education seminars.
• Experience: 2+ years in a leadership/supervisory role in modern pork production.
• Skills/Abilities: Dependable, strong problem solving, organizational and time management; good communication and leadership; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all aspects of the farrowing department.
• Oversees personnel development and training; aids manager in recruiting and evaluating staff.
• Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules.
• Maintains accurate farm records and submits weekly production reports.
• Maintains cleaning, maintenance, and biosecurity schedules.
