Job summary

Country View Family Farms in the United States seeks a dedicated Farrowing Lead to supervise the farrowing barn, ensuring the health, care, and welfare of sows and piglets. This hands-on leadership role guides the team while working daily with animals in a fast-paced environment.

You will train and motivate staff, oversee sow farrowing and piglet care from birth through weaning, monitor barn systems (ventilation, feeding, watering), manage Day 1 care and piglet processing, and keep accurate

Qualifications

• Prior livestock management experience with swine preferred.
• Associate’s degree in Animal Science, Agribusiness, Livestock Production or 5+ years related experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coach and hold team accountable.
• Team-player with excellent multitasking ability.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work on feet in a barn.

This is a hands‑on leadership role in the farrowing barn where you’ll play a vital part in ensuring the health, care, and welfare of both sows and piglets. You’ll guide the farrowing team while working directly with animals every day in a fast‑paced and rewarding environment.
