Job Responsibilities

• Perform physical tasks such as planting, cultivating, harvesting crops including sweet corn, watermelons, cantaloupe, pumpkins, ornamental gourds, corn, and tomatoes.
• Assist in field preparation, installation of drip irrigation, and plastic mulching.
• Operate farm equipment like trucks and tractors.
• Perform duties as a crew leader when required.
• Handle pre-harvest activities such as staking, tying, transplanting, and pruning.
• Work in various weather conditions, including wet fields and temperatures from 40°F to over 100°F.
• Load and unload bales of hay or straw, with bales weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Maintain cleanliness in work areas, dispose of trash properly, and follow sanitation practices.

Physical Requirements & Conditions

Must possess strength and endurance to perform repetitive tasks quickly and skillfully. Must be able to work at a sustained, vigorous pace and make earnest efforts to work efficiently and consistently under climatic and other conditions. Hand washing after bathroom and meal breaks is required, along with adherence to sanitation standards for food safety.
