Job summary

This farm position involves cleaning seeds, removing dirt, sticks and leaves, and filling and weighing bags and bulk containers. You will also clean and maintain seed machines and the work area.

Farming with: Barley, Beans, Canola, Dry Beans, Dry Peas, Durum, Flax Seed, Oats, Soy Beans, Wheat. Housing and meals are provided by the employer, with weekly transportation to town for personal errands.

Qualifications

• Experience required: minimum 1 month.
• Must be able to obtain a driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
• Must be able to speak English.
• Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer-provided housing includes free and convenient kitchen facilities with appropriate equipment, appliances, cooking accessories, and dishwashing facilities for meal preparation. For workers residing in employer-provided housing, employer also provides free transportation once per week to/from closest town or city for personal errands (e.g., groceries, banking services).

Transport: The employer will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and provide reimbursement upon arrival at the farm for all inbound and outbound transportation at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distance involved. This may include plane, train, bus, or automobile.

Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive walking is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion.
