Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking farm workers to harvest watermelon, cabbage and broccoli and perform field care in outdoor conditions. The job requires standing, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs multiple times per day.

Housing is provided as rental or public accommodations; meals include three daily meals with possible charges; transportation to town or facility is provided weekly as needed.

• Experience in farm work is preferred but not required.

Job description

Harvest watermelon, cabbage and broccoli; and field care. Prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. Job is outdoors and continues in all types of weather. Workers may be requested to submit to random drug or alcohol tests at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. Must be able to lift 50lbs. to shoulder height repetitively throughout the workday and able to lift and carry 50lbs. in field. Use of personal cell phone or other personal electronic devices during working hours strictly prohibited except for work-related calls or emergencies and violation may result in immediate termination.

Housing: Rental or public accommodations

Meals: Per 655.122(g), the employer will provide three (3) meals per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and will charge the workers up to $16.78 per day, for the workers residing in the housing facility, subject to change with the publication of new rates by the Office of Foreign Labor Certification in the Federal Register. The employer will provide free transportation once per week to and from the laundry facility and store to obtain other necessities.
