Crop And Pay

Paid Bi-weekly at a rate of $19.82 an hour. No work will be performed at less than the $19.82 AEWR.

Row Crops

This role requires a Vegetable Harvester/Packer. Field crew tasks will include:

• Transplanting
• Hand weeding
• Hoeing
• Laying down crop protections such as agricultural fabrics and row covers
• Moving irrigation line
• Operating small machinery such as mowers and weed eaters
• Light greenhouse work such as watering, planting, weeding, pruning

Harvest tasks will include hand harvest of bunched greens such as kale, chard, cilantro, pac choi, carrots, beets, etc. Head lettuce, picking peas, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbages, root crops and winter squash will also be harvested.

Most of these crops will be field packed; packing trailer work will include receiving harvested produce on a conveyor and packing into boxes, building boxes on a trailer, stacking and unstacking boxes of produce. There will be some indoor packing shed work such as icing, spraying and stacking boxes, as well as work on a wash line washing and packing root crops.
