Bay M Carter Farms is seeking workers for a blueberry operation responsible for planting, spraying, grooming, and harvesting blueberries. You will record crop data, drive farm trucks, inspect and maintain equipment, and supervise seasonal helpers during planting and harvesting.

Position involves working outdoors in varying temperatures, performing manual tasks, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Housing, meals, and transportation support are provided by the employer.

Bay M Carter Farms has a blueberry operation that handles planting, spraying, grooming, and picking blueberries. Job duties will include: recording agricultural data, driving farm trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools, inspecting, adjusting, and completing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, cleaning work areas and maintaining grounds and landscaping, directing and monitoring the work of casual and seasonal help during planting and harvesting, informing farmers or farm managers of crop progress, maintaining and repairing irrigation and climate control systems, maintaining inventory and ordering materials as required, operating small tractors to plow, harrow, and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray, and harvest crops, participating in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops, planting, spraying, weeding, fertilizing, watering, and pruning plants, shrubs, and trees using gardening tools, recording information about crops such as pesticide use, yields, or costs, recording information about plants and plant growth, repairing and maintaining farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment, repairing farm buildings, fences, and other structures, cleaning equipment or facilities, evaluating the quality of plants or crops, examining characteristics or behavior of living organisms, harvesting agricultural products, maintaining inventories of materials, equipment, or products, maintaining operational records, operating farming equipment, operating irrigation systems, packaging agricultural products for shipment or further processing, planting crops, trees, or other plants, preparing land for agricultural use, transporting animals, crops, or equipment, marking agricultural or forestry products for identification, packaging agricultural products for shipment or further processing. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: The employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and space for food preparation, as well as the necessary equipment, appliances (including refrigeration),cooking accessories, and dish washing facilities (e.g., adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure) that are in working condition and will be used by workers to sufficiently prepare three (3) meals a day. Employer will offer free transportation to town for personal services (i.e. banking, groceries) at least once per week for non range workers.

Transport: The employer will pay the worker for reasonable costs incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad to the place of employment (inbound/outbound). The employer will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved.
