Job summary

Folson Farms in East Grand Forks, MN is seeking workers to grow, package and ship red and gold potatoes. You will help with growing and production and operate large farm equipment, including tractors, trucks, skid loaders and forklifts, plus basic maintenance of machinery. Shifts are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

(44 hours/week) with optional Saturday 4 hours. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, communicate in English, and have a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience operating large farm equipment (tractors, trucks, skid loaders, forklifts).
• Some mechanical experience for repair and maintenance of farm machinery.
• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining farm equipment.

Responsibilities

• Grow, package and ship potatoes.
• Operate farm equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Clean and service farm machinery.
• Attend shift 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 44 hours/week with Saturday as needed.

Job Duties

Grow, package and ship red and gold potatoes. Employees to help us in the growing and production of the potatoes. Employees must have experience operating large farm equipment such as tractors, trucks, skid loaders and forklifts. Employees must have some mechanical experience to and knowledge of how to use a variety of tools for the repair and maintenance of farm machinery and equipment. Employees will also clean farm equipment.

Additional Compensation

• EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site.
• Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance.
