S. Clyde Weaver seeks a motivated, customer-focused Farmers Market Manager to lead our West Shore Farmers Market stand in Lemoyne, PA.

You will own day-to-day operations, coach the team, and create an inviting environment where customers discover our smoked meats and specialty cheeses. Responsibilities include training staff, engaging customers, optimizing sales, maintaining displays, and ensuring food safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in retail food, specialty foods, grocery, hospitality, or similar customer-facing environment with supervisory/management experience.
• Strong appreciation for quality foods, especially smoked meats and cheeses.
• Excellent customer service skills with ability to engage and recommend products.
• Ability to lead, coach, and hold a team accountable in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of retail sales, merchandising, scheduling, inventory, and cost control.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
• Commitment to cleanliness and food safety; maintain consistent product quality.
• Valid driver’s license; ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain within six months (reimbursed).

S. Clyde Weaver is looking for a motivated, customer-focused full-time Farmers Market Manager to lead our stand at the West Shore Farmers Market in Lemoyne, PA. We’re looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, takes pride in the products they sell, and understands that a great customer experience starts with a great team.

As the Farmers Market Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operation and overall performance of our S. Clyde Weaver stand. You'll lead from the front, work alongside your team, and create an inviting environment where customers enjoy discovering and sharing our products.

Responsibilities

• - Train, coach, and motivate employees to deliver exceptional service, maintain high standards, and work together toward shared goals.
• - Engage customers, share product knowledge, offer samples, recommend pairings, and help customers discover their next favorite smoked meat or specialty cheese.
• - Take ownership of sales results, identify opportunities to grow business, and make smart decisions that support profitability.
• - Maintain attractive, well-stocked displays and use merchandising, sampling, and product presentation to encourage sales.
• - Coordinate ordering and deliveries, maintain proper product rotation, and minimize waste, spoilage, and inventory discrepancies.
• - Ensure the stand is clean, organized, inspection-ready, and compliant with food safety and sanitation requirements.
• - Develop schedules based on sales trends and customer traffic while maintaining productivity and controlling labor costs.
• - Lead by example and help build lasting relationships with customers who appreciate quality, service, and a genuine connection to the foods they love.

Relevant Experience

• - 3–5+ years of relevant experience in retail food, specialty foods, grocery, hospitality, or a similar customer-facing environment, including supervisory or management experience.
• - A true appreciation for quality foods, especially smoked meats, specialty cheeses, and the products that make S. Clyde Weaver distinctive.
• - Strong customer service skills and the confidence to engage customers, tell our product story, and make recommendations.
• - The ability to lead, coach, and hold a team accountable in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
• - An understanding of retail sales, merchandising, scheduling, inventory management, and controlling expenses.
• - Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems independently.
• - A commitment to cleanliness, food safety, and consistent product quality.
• - A valid driver's license.
• - ServSafe certification - if you do not have this, must be completed within six months of hire. The company will reimburse the cost upon completion.

This is an active, hands-on management role that requires standing and moving throughout the workday, working in refrigerated environments, and must be able to lift/move products weighing 50 pounds or more.
