Job summary

S Clyde Weaver at the West Shore Farmers' Market stand is hiring a part-time Farmer's Market Associate to support the stand on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays with 8- to 9-hour shifts.

You will greet customers, explain products, assist with setup, handle transactions, and keep up-to-date product knowledge. Training on equipment may be required; expect a friendly, service-driven environment with perks like free lunches and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of retail experience desired.
• Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive and friendly attitude.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with weekly market stand setup.
• Greet and assist customers in an engaging and professional manner.
• Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all available products.
• Differentiate between products, helping customers compare flavors, textures, parings, etc.
• Answer all customer questions and address concerns.
• Make helpful suggestions that will be useful to the customer.
• Handle all transactions with accuracy.
• Make every effort to ensure the customer has an excellent shopping experience.
• Train/operate food service equipment (slicer, chipper, etc.)
