Job summary

Bar V Ranch Ltd in Jamestown, ND is seeking a full-time Farmworker to assist with daily livestock care on a ranch employing cattle grazing on wheat and soybeans. Responsibilities include feeding, inspecting animals for illness, vaccinating, and branding, with occasional maintenance tasks around the ranch grounds.

Applicants should have basic experience with cattle and hold a valid driver’s license. The role follows a regular 40-hour workweek from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with drug testing required

• Mixes feed and adds water to livestock as needed.
• Examines animals for diseases and injuries.
• Vaccinates animals by administering syringes.
• Sprays livestock with insecticide.
• Marks animals with branding to indicate ownership.

• Mixes feed and additives, fill feed troughs with feed and waters livestock.
• Examines animals to detect diseases and injuries.
• Vaccinates animals by ruing syringes.
• Spray livestock with insecticide.
• Clip identifying notches or symbols on animals or brands animals using branding iron to indicate ownership.
• May maintain ranch buildings and equipment.
• Assist in harvesting and transport of crops and daily farm maintenance.
• 3 month experience with cattle.
• Must be able to pass drug testing after hire that is paid by the employer.
• If drug text is failed, the result is loss of job.
• Drivers license required.
• Crops are wheat and soybeans.
