Placements24 is seeking a Farm Supervisor to oversee daily operations at a mixed-use farm near Queenstown. You will lead a team of farm workers, manage planting, cultivation, harvesting, and animal husbandry, and ensure safety protocols are followed on site.

The role requires practical farming knowledge, the ability to keep records, and a hands-on leadership style suited to an agricultural environment in the Eastern Cape. On-site accommodation may be available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in farm operations and supervision.
• Practical knowledge of crop cultivation and/or livestock management.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise daily activities of farm laborers, assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
• Ensure that planting, cultivation, irrigation, and harvesting activities are performed correctly and on schedule.
• Oversee livestock care, including feeding, health monitoring, and maintaining housing facilities.
• Conduct routine checks and basic maintenance on farm machinery and equipment.
• Implement and enforce farm safety regulations and best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and daily farm activities.
