Job summary

Penn State is seeking a dependable Technical Service Farm Operations Worker to support the Franklin County 4-H Therapeutic Riding Center. The role involves farm maintenance, equipment upkeep, and ensuring a safe, well‑maintained environment for horses and riders.

Responsibilities include mowing, minor repairs on tractors and gator, fencing and waterer maintenance, and assisting on volunteer workdays. A valid driver’s license and background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Mow fields and maintain grounds.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on tractor.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on gator/utility vehicle.
• Repair and maintain fencing as needed.
• Maintain and repair automatic waterers.
• Replace light bulbs and perform minor electrical upkeep.
• Drag and maintain three riding arenas.
• Drag and maintain turn-out fields.
• Troubleshoot and repair general facility issues as they arise.
• Assist during volunteer workdays with setup, projects, and coordination.
