Job Title: Farm Manager

Employment Type: Full-time, On-site

A leading agricultural facility in Everett, PA, is seeking a skilled Farm Manager to oversee daily operations across multiple departments, including Production, Animal Husbandry, Maintenance/Construction, Landscaping, and Crop Management. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic and hands-on approach to managing farm functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, optimizing operational efficiency, and maintaining a high standard of animal welfare and facility integrity.

Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Oversight: Direct and coordinate all day-to-day farm activities across departments.
  • Ensure operations meet regulatory, quality, and animal welfare standards.
  • Supervise and schedule farm staff across multiple disciplines.
  • Train team members, provide performance feedback, and foster interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Manage budgets for all farm-related activities.
  • Monitor operational costs, track revenue, and recommend strategies to improve cost-effectiveness and profitability.
  • Assist with strategic planning and capital improvement initiatives.
Record Keeping & Data Management
  • Maintain accurate records for animal care, crop yields, equipment maintenance, and production activities.
  • Input data into management systems to meet internal and regulatory compliance.
  • Generate operational reports for performance and audit purposes.
Facility & Equipment Management
  • Oversee the safety, maintenance, and compliance of all buildings, infrastructure, and farm equipment.
  • Coordinate construction projects, repairs, and upgrades as needed.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with SOPs and relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., USDA, AAALAC).
  • Monitor and maintain documentation to meet quality and traceability standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of farm or agricultural management experience, ideally in a production or regulated setting.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong project management and budgeting experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with agricultural or production management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Practical knowledge of livestock care, crop production, and equipment maintenance is preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Full-time, on-site role based in Everett, PA.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required based on operational demands.
