Job summary

Cutrale Citrus Juices USA, Inc. in Lorida, FL is seeking a Farm Helper to support outdoor agricultural duties including irrigation, pruning, planting and general maintenance.

Qualifications

BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

A Farm Helpers responsibilities include but are not limited to: irrigation cleaning / repairs, prunning trees, spraying chemicals by hand, planting new trees, shoveling, irrigating, hoeing weeds, cleaning ditches, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Perform a daily maintenance checklist for atv/utv assigned to helper, if assigned.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The qualified candidate will display initiative, good communication / interpersonal skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Ensure full comprehension of job duties, safety regulations, and other situations that may require an immediate response. Farm Helper is expected to learn, follow, and promote all safety regulations while performing their tasks.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS [Minimum level of formal education that is required to perform this job satisfactorily]

High School diploma or equivalent is prefered.

TRAINING, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Previous work-related skill, knowledge, and /or experience are required. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Participate in Cutrale sponsored training to improve job skills. Participate in quality improvement process.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Workers may be required to perform labor-intensive work involving prolonged standing or lifting. Must be able to work outdoors and indoors in various temperatures. Ability to lift necessary weight (50lbs – 75lbs on occasion). Ability to perform physical tasks relating to grounds maintenance. Able to stand, stoop, bend, climb, crawl and kneel for extended periods in uncomfortable positions.

EQUIPMENT

ATV/UTV assigned for transportation or driven in a bus amongst other farm helpers

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions will be outside, in all types of weather. Must be able to to work in the heat wearing proper P.P.E (Personal Protective Equipment). If necessary, could be expected to work in hot, cold, sometimes wet, muddy, rainy conditions.
