CW Resources is hiring an Indoor Farm Worker (DSP pathway) in New Britain, CT. No experience required; training provided in hydroponic farming, plant care, and safety procedures.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 6:00am–11:00am, with a focus on reliability and teamwork in a climate-controlled indoor farm environment. You will learn seeding, transplanting, pruning, harvesting, and packaging, while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; willingness to learn farming techniques and food safety.
• Reliability and punctuality with a positive attitude.

• Physical capability for standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks in a farm setting.

Responsibilities

• Seed herbs, spices, and lettuce in trays or hydroponic systems.
• Transplant seedlings into growing units and monitor plant health daily.
• Operate hydroponic or drip irrigation for proper water/nutrient delivery.
• Harvest and pack produce while maintaining quality standards.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and workspaces; follow safety protocols.

Do Good Gardens is seeking a dedicated Indoor Farm Worker to help us grow fresh, sustainable produce all year round. Our mission goes beyond farming - we're committed to making a positive impact on people, the planet, and our community by using modern indoor techniques such as hydroponic and vertical farming to grow herbs, spices, and lettuce.

• Seeding herbs, spices, and lettuce in trays or hydroponic systems, and transplanting seedlings into growing units.
• Checking plants daily for signs of pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies, and reporting issues.
• Operating hydroponic or drip irrigation setups to ensure proper water and nutrient delivery.
• Removing unwanted growth, thinning crowded plants, and pruning herbs for optimal yield.
• Cutting lettuce heads, trimming herbs, and collecting spices at peak maturity while maintaining quality standards.
• Cleaning harvested produce, sorting by quality, and packing for distribution to markets or restaurants.
• Using farm machinery, lighting systems, and climate-control technology to maintain optimal growing conditions.
• Sanitizing tools, trays, and workspaces to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.
