Job summary

CW Resources, Inc. is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) – No Experience Required. We are seeking an Indoor Farm Worker to assist with hydroponic and vertical farming of herbs, spices, and lettuce in New Britain, CT.

The role runs Monday–Friday with a 6:00am–11:00am shift, focusing on learning farming techniques, plant health, and food safety practices. You’ll seed, transplant, monitor plant health, operate irrigation, harvest produce, and help maintain clean, compliant growing spaces in

Qualifications

• No experience required; willingness to learn farming practices and food safety.
• Reliability: punctual and dependable, with a positive attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and notice small changes in plant health.
• Ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Seed herbs, spices, and lettuce in trays or hydroponic systems and transplant seedlings.
• Monitor plants daily for pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies and report issues.
• Operate hydroponic or drip irrigation to ensure proper water and nutrient delivery.
• Remove unwanted growth, thin crowded plants, and prune herbs for yield.
• Harvest lettuce heads, trim herbs, and collect produce at peak maturity while maintaining quality.
• Clean harvested produce, sort by quality, and pack for distribution.
• Use farm machinery, lighting systems, and climate-control tech to maintain growing conditions.
• Sanitize tools, trays, and workspaces to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.
