Job summary

Opal Foods, LLC is hiring a Groundskeeper/Utility Maintenance Technician for the Iowa Falls Pullets Farm in Iowa Falls, IA. The role involves preventive maintenance and repairs on production machinery, operating in a live animal environment, and assisting the Pullet Manager with various projects.

Candidates should have mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including nights

Qualifications

Mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Experience troubleshooting equipment and performing preventive maintenance.
Organized and detail oriented.
Willing to work off schedule shifts and/or nights when necessary.
Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Ability to safely operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

Keep equipment running and operating safely by maintaining and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment.
Perform preventive and urgent maintenance of production machinery and equipment.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
Take a proactive approach to issue resolution including root cause analyses.
Use tools and meters to perform duties and maintain grounds and facilities.
Assist Pullet Manager with other projects as needed.
