Job summary

Opal Foods is seeking a Groundskeeper/Utility Maintenance Technician for the School Farm in Neosho, MO. You will perform preventive maintenance, repair production machinery, and help manage grounds and farm infrastructure in a live animal environment.

Responsibilities include keeping equipment running, diagnosing issues, and assisting with bird control and farm duties. Requires mechanical/electrical aptitude and a valid driver's license; be prepared for off-schedule shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
• Experience troubleshooting equipment, performing preventive maintenance and repairing industrial processing equipment.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Willing to work off schedule shifts and/or nights when necessary.
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean MVR (background check).
• Ability to safely operate a company-owned vehicle and pass a driving history check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production machinery and equipment to keep them running safely and efficiently.
• Perform preventive and urgent maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment.
• Maintain grounds including weed eating, mowing, trash removal and spray weed control.
• Assist with bird control and other farm-related tasks as needed.
