Pape’ Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Shop Mechanic to service all makes and models of agricultural equipment in the shop, ensuring repairs are accurate and timely to maximize uptime for customers.

You will diagnose malfunctions, repair or replace engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical and air systems, and assist with pre-delivery setup on John Deere equipment. Tools provided by the team and ongoing training are available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of working knowledge of small engines and agricultural equipment including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, and air conditioning systems.
• A team-oriented personality, with the focus and drive to work without direct supervision.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation and assertiveness.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and diagnose agricultural equipment malfunctions or failures.
• Repair, replace or rebuild engines, transmissions, carburetors, final drives and hydraulic components, electrical and air systems.
• Assist with pre-delivery setup and installation on John Deere equipment and allied products.
