Job summary

Aviagen is seeking a Supervisory Farm Clean-Out Lead to direct daily clean-out activities at our facilities in Mississippi. You will guide crews, manage time, and ensure proper sanitation practices across farm equipment and areas.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to pass a health card physical, and willingness to work nights, weekends, and extended shifts. Poultry experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Must pass a physical to receive a Health Card.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shifts.
• Poultry experience preferred but not required.
• Basic chemical understanding is a strong plus.
• Experience with monitoring clean-up activities.
• Two years of clean-out crew experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive crews to farms to begin cleanup.
• Drive and operate machinery with required certifications.
• Manage crew time to ensure work is completed correctly.
• Ensure use of chemicals to clean and sanitize machinery and areas.
• Assemble/Disassemble machinery at start/end of cleanup shift.
• Assist setup before production starts (lower nest boxes, feeders, drinker lines).
• Delegate tasks for crews; file reports to supervisors for depletion data.
• Inventory vehicles, machinery, and chemicals.
• Perform duties assigned by supervisor, area leader and Sanitation Manager.
• Work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers; may work in other departments.
• Must be able to perform other duties as assigned.
