Job summary

Shelburne Farms is seeking postgraduate-level fellows for a January–November role in farm-based youth programs and early education. Fellows live onsite, join school programs, summer camps, and Children’s Farmyard activities, and collaborate with education staff to deliver programs to youth and families.

The program emphasizes mentorship, reflection, and cultural responsiveness as part of professional growth, with evening/weekend events and ongoing learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Interest in education, sustainability, or farm-based education.
• Willingness to learn and grow in teaching practices.

Responsibilities

• Participate in orientation to Shelburne Farms and the fellow role.
• Participate in farmyard and summer camp training sessions.
• Meet with the supervisor to create professional goals and a learning plan.
• Observe, team teach, and teach activities for school programs, camp, and family programs.
• Work on education support projects on non-teaching days.
