Gustave A. Larson Company is seeking a Fargo Market Manager to lead our HVAC/R distribution location with full P&L authority.

You will own sales, operations, inventory, and talent, building a high-performance team and driving results in a fast-paced wholesale environment. You'll recruit, coach, and develop staff, partner with sales leadership to grow market share, and ensure safe, compliant operations while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience running a branch, location, or business unit with full team responsibility.
• Proven track record of growing sales while maintaining margin and operational discipline.
• Budget and P&L ownership; strong inventory and operating metrics knowledge.
• Strong analytical and decision-making instincts; comfortable with numbers.
• Coaching skills that develop people and reduce turnover.
• Customer-first mindset and relationship-building abilities.
• Comfort using an ERP system to manage inventory, pricing, and reporting.
• HVAC/R wholesale distribution experience strongly preferred.

If you like owning a P&L, building and developing teams, and seeing your decisions show up in the numbers every month — this is that job. You'll lead our Fargo HVAC/R distribution location, with real authority over sales, operations, inventory, and talent. A build-it role.

Gustave A. Larson is a leading wholesale distributor of HVAC, and Refrigeration (HVACR) equipment, parts, and supplies. The Market Manager is responsible for overseeing several operations and sales for an assigned area. This role requires knowledge of HVAC/R systems, industry trends, business acumen, sales and operations.

What you'll own

• Fargo's results. Full P&L accountability — sales growth, expense control, inventory investment, and operating efficiency for your location.
• The team. Recruiting, coaching, performance management, succession planning, and building the bench that runs this branch five years from now.
• The customer experience. Set the tone for responsiveness and accuracy, and stay close enough to key contractors that they call you by name.
• Sales execution. Partner with Sales leadership to grow share in your territory, win back lapsed accounts, and land the strategic initiatives that move the business.
• Inventory. Balance product availability against turns — right stock on the shelf, less dead inventory.
• The numbers. Read the operational and financial metrics, find the gaps, build the action plan, and present results and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Safe, compliant operations. Uphold policy and safety standards while continuously improving how the work gets done.
