Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking a Functional Area Project Management (FAPM) Lead Engineer to oversee multiple industrial construction projects and mentor project managers specializing in tooling installation at our Phoenix facility.

This senior role drives standardized processes, manages risk, ensures OSHA and client specs, and builds strong relationships with clients and vendors while aligning with corporate goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 8-10+ years in industrial construction, with 5+ years specializing in tooling installation projects and 2+ years in leadership role managing project managers.
  • Expert knowledge of industrial tooling systems and installation processes (e.g., CNC machines, robotic systems, precision manufacturing equipment).
  • Advanced proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of CAD software and technical specifications.
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.

Functional Area Project Management (FAPM) Lead Engineer

Functional Area Project Management (FAPM) Lead Engineer
  • The Functional Area Project Management Lead Engineer is a leadership role responsible for overseeing multiple industrial construction projects and managing a team of project managers specializing in tooling installation. This role focuses on strategic oversight, portfolio management, and ensuring organizational objectives are met across projects.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field -OR-
    • 8 -10+ years’ experience in industrial construction, with 5+ years specializing in tooling installation projects and 2+ years in leadership role managing project managers.
    • Technical Skills:
      • Expert knowledge of industrial tooling systems and installation processes (e.g., CNC machines, robotic systems, precision manufacturing equipment).
      • Advanced proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.).
      • Strong understanding of CAD software and technical specifications.
    • Interpersonal Skills:
      • Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills. Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
    • Physical Requirements:
      • N/A

    • PMP or CCM Certifications
    Shift Expectations
    • All Lead Functional Area Project Management (FAPM) Engineers may be required to work a Compressed Work Week (4-day on, 3-day off, 3-day on, 4-day off), and may be required to work night shift on a rotational basis.
    • Scheduled night shifts and weekend on-call rotations in a 24/7 high-volume manufacturing environment.
    • Night shift rotations are expected to be no more than 4 months per calendar year.
    • Standard work hours: Monday through Friday

    Candidates must be willing and able to work on-site at our Phoenix, Arizona facility.
