Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field OR 8–10+ years in industrial construction with 5+ years tooling installation and 2+ years in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for tooling installation projects and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Lead and mentor a team of project managers, fostering development and high performance.
• Develop and implement standardized project planning, execution, and tooling installation processes across projects.
• Oversee installation of complex industrial tooling systems, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with specifications.
• Ensure all projects adhere to OSHA regulations, industry standards and client requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors and stakeholders to secure repeat business.

Functional Area Project Management (FAPM) Lead Engineer

• The Functional Area Project Management Lead Engineer is a leadership role responsible for overseeing multiple industrial construction projects and managing a team of project managers specializing in tooling installation. This role focuses on strategic oversight, portfolio management, and ensuring organizational objectives are met across projects.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field -OR-
  • 8 -10+ years’ experience in industrial construction, with 5+ years specializing in tooling installation projects and 2+ years in leadership role managing project managers.
• Technical Skills:
  • Expert knowledge of industrial tooling systems and installation processes (e.g., CNC machines, robotic systems, precision manufacturing equipment).
  • Advanced proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of CAD software and technical specifications.
• Interpersonal Skills:
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills. Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Physical Requirements:
  • N/A

• PMP or CCM Certifications

Shift Expectations

• All Lead Functional Area Project Management (FAPM) Engineers may be required to work a Compressed Work Week (4-day on, 3-day off, 3-day on, 4-day off), and may be required to work night shift on a rotational basis.
• Scheduled night shifts and weekend on-call rotations in a 24/7 high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Night shift rotations are expected to be no more than 4 months per calendar year.
• Standard work hours: Monday through Friday
