Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking an entry-to-mid-level Functional Area Project Management (FAPM) Engineer I to support tooling installation projects at our Phoenix facility. You will help develop schedules, budgets, and allocate resources while coordinating with subcontractors and site teams.

You will assist with compliance to OSHA and safety protocols, and maintain project documentation, reports, and change orders under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field OR 2–4 years’ experience in industrial construction.
• Knowledge of industrial tooling systems and installation processes (e.g., CNC machines, robotic systems, precision manufacturing equipment).
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the installation of industrial tools and machinery, ensuring adherence to technical specifications. Troubleshoot and recommend as needed.

Functional Area Project Management (FAPM) Engineer I

• The Functional Area Project Manager I is an entry-to-mid-level role responsible for supporting the execution of industrial construction projects focused on tooling installation. This role involves assisting senior project managers, coordinating project tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards under supervision.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field -OR- 2-4 years’ experience in industrial construction.
• Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of industrial tooling systems and installation processes (e.g., CNC machines, robotic systems, precision manufacturing equipment).
• Knowledge of project management software (e.g., "MS Project", "Procore", "Excel", "Word", "PowerPoint", etc.).
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Interpersonal Skills:
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.

Shift Expectations

• All Functional Area Project Management (FAPM) Engineer I may be required to work a Compressed Work Week (4-day on, 3-day off, 3-day on, 4-day off), and may be required to work night shift on a rotational basis.
• Scheduled night shifts and weekend on-call rotations in a 24/7 high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Night shift rotations are expected to be no more than 4 months per calendar year.Standard work hours: Monday through Friday
