Job summary
Gear 5 Automation is seeking an experienced industrial Robotics Engineer to configure, integrate, commission, and support FANUC robot systems. This hands-on role requires you to own a robot application from setup through commissioning, while working mostly at customer sites.
Based in the United States with about 75% travel to AR, the position is home-based with frequent travel to client facilities. The company offers PTO, a 401(k) plan, and opportunities to solve varied automation challenges
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience programming and commissioning FANUC robots.
- Experience configuring FANUC I/O, tool frames, payloads, and safety settings.
- Experience with FANUC 2D vision or similar robot-guidance systems.
- Willingness to travel ~75% to customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Set up and commission FANUC robot systems from scratch.
- Configure tool center points, frames, payloads, and safety settings.
- Integrate and troubleshoot FANUC 2D vision for robot guidance.
- Support material handling, dispensing, welding, and assembly automation.
- Develop offline robot programs and simulations for validation.
- Commission equipment on-site and resolve issues during rollout.
- Evaluate performance and adapt to production needs.
