Job summary

Hog Slat, Inc. seeks a Fans/BOM Supervisor to lead daily production at our Clinton, NC facility. The role focuses on scheduling, performance tracking, and mitigating issues while maintaining safety and quality across shifts.

You will coach teams, resolve conflicts, and drive Lean improvements to meet output and efficiency goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Two years in a supervisory/management role required.
• Three years working in a manufacturing environment required.
• Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic across units of measure (whole numbers, fractions, decimals).
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds daily.
• Stable work history required.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct daily production schedules, assign workstations, and track output goals.
• Record daily numbers and send updated reports throughout the day and end of shift.
• Ensure effective employee relations; provide coaching and development; resolve issues per company policies.
• Ensure workers follow safety rules, wear protective gear, and adhere to policies.
• Evaluate stations to optimize production efficiency and balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale.
• Drive continuous improvement across areas using Lean techniques.
• Approve timecards or payroll hours, manage shift logs, and report performance metrics to operations managers.
• Track absenteeism.

Hog Slat, Inc. the world's leading provider of parts, equipment and turn-key construction to the swine & poultry industries is seeking a Fans/Bill of Materials (BOM) Supervisor with excellent reasoning and mathematical skills to join the team at our Clinton, NC Manufacturing location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as business conditions change.

• Plan and direct daily production schedules, assign workstations, and track output goals.
• Record daily numbers and send updated report throughout the day and end of shift
• Ensure effective employee relations; provide employee coaching and development; resolve employee issues through problem resolution according to company policies
• Ensure workers follow safety rules, wear protective gear, and maintain adherence to company policies.
• Evaluate various stations of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas; working to continuously improve in all areas.
• Approve timecards or payroll hours, manage shift logs, and report performance metrics to operations managers
• Track Absenteeism

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• Two years in a supervisory/management role required
• Three years working in a manufacturing environment required
• A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
• An ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds daily
• Stable work history required
• Ability to understand and use our computer applications and data collection and recording
• Strong conflict resolution, time management, and hands-on knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
• Fluent in English and Spanish required
