Job summary

Hog Slat, Inc., the leading provider of parts and equipment for the swine and poultry industries, is seeking a 2nd shift Lead at our Clinton, NC manufacturing location. The ideal candidate should have strong reasoning and mathematical skills, along with a commitment to meet production standards and train new associates.

The position requires the ability to lift to 50 pounds, data entry skills, and conflict resolution capabilities. A strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is also desired. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds daily.
• Strong data entry and general computer skills.

JOB SUMMARY

Hog Slat, Inc. the world’s leading provider of parts, equipment and turn-key construction to the swine & poultry industries is seeking a 2 nd shift Lead with excellent reasoning and mathematical skills to join the team at our Clinton, Nc Manufacturing location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct workflow to ensure production standards are being met for department
• Log all production and system transactions in AX
• Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
• Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets or other fasteners.
• Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
• Operates drill presses, pneumatic and hard tools or riveting machines to assist in assembly operations
• Adhere to all safety procedures
• Train new associates, manage shift coverage, and foster a collaborative, solutions-driven work environment.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds on a daily basis
• Staple work history required
• Data entry and general computer skills
• Strong conflict resolution, time management, and hands-on knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
• Fluent in English and Spanish
