Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an Assembly Technician I for a manufacturing company in Lenexa, KS. The role involves assembling components on a production line under supervision, using hand and powered tools, with safety and quality as priorities.

Qualified candidates will have at least 6 months of assembly experience, read and follow written/verbal instructions, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of assembly experience required; 1 year of assembly experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive assembly operations.
• Assemble fan components using hand, pneumatic, and electric tools and fixtures.
• Follow detailed written and verbal work instructions.
• Consistently use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
• Assist in maintaining housekeeping and cleanliness standards throughout the work area.
• Affix labels and identification markings to finished products.
• Test and inspect completed units to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Package finished products for shipment and place materials on pallets as required.
• Operate equipment such as drill presses, punch presses, riveting machines, sealing machines, staple guns, and nail guns to support assembly operations.
• Perform various production tasks as needed to meet manufacturing schedules.
• Maintain reliable attendance and adherence to all company safety requirements.
