The Software Development Engineer 4 is a seasoned professional, lead role responsible for developing technical designs and developing and maintaining software source code to support a solution. As an experienced member of a development team, the individual will be expected to solve complex technical issues and programming tasks. The individual may be asked to act as a technical lead on projects or solutions with moderate complexity or scope. This is an individual contributor role.
This individual works with divine guidance to provide or support technology that furthers the mission of the Church and reflects the eternal impact of the gospel.

Own the architecture and delivery of the Memories applications.
Work directly in Xcode and Android Studio, reading, debugging, and modifying the existing Swift and Kotlin code.
Own mobile performance and scalability across a wide range of devices, OS versions, and network conditions.
Manage release trains, staged rollouts, feature flags, and App Store and Google Play submissions.
Establish the team's mobile standards for testing, code review, and CI.
Mentor engineers who are strong on web and newer to mobile.
Partner with UX on platform-appropriate patterns rather than a lowest common denominator.
Produce quality mobile applications that are shipped to the App Store and Google Play, including ownership of the release
Identify errors in native code you did not write with Fluency with AI tools
