Grand Rapids Public Schools is seeking an In House Specialist to support scholars in need of additional skills within GRPS schools and to serve as a liaison between home and school. You will work with parents to identify barriers and resources, ensuring confidentiality and progress tracking.

Responsibilities include developing conflict resolution skills, collaborating with teachers, implementing intervention strategies, and supporting school initiatives.

Formación

• Associate degree or 60 hours of college credit required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for advancement and leadership.
• Knowledge of PBIS and restorative practices beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Develop conflict resolution and positive behavior skills with scholars.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to support academic and behavioral goals.
• Participate in building instructional/intervention strategies.
• Support PBIS structures and social-emotional learning in school.
• Serve as liaison with parents to remove barriers to success.
• Confer with parents and classroom teachers regularly.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate progress records.
• Attend required professional development and training.
• Support district improvement plans and after-hours activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
