Job summary

Josiah White’s seeks a Family Specialist to support children and families by applying foundational social work principles within our care model. You will work under the supervision of the Program Manager and collaborate with treatment teams to implement individualized service plans promoting family stability, child well‑being, and permanency.

Qualifications

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree.
  • Three years of supervised paid casework experience preferred.
  • One year of supervised paid casework experience in a licensed child placing agency or with DCS preferred.
  • One year of graduate training in a recognized school of social work preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implement case management interventions under supervision and within treatment team plans.
  • Develop, monitor, and update individualized treatment plans for each child and family.
  • Advocate for children and families by coordinating with community providers and ensuring access to supports.
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation in compliance with accreditation and DCS standards.
  • Build supportive relationships with foster/resource families and provide guidance in therapeutic parenting.
