Zusammenfassung

Rhode Island Parent Information Network (RIPIN) seeks a Family Support Specialist to provide information, education and support to families of children with special health care needs. You will coordinate projects, train families and professionals, and network across state and national partners.

You’ll disseminate materials in various formats and languages, assist with conferences and outreach, and help ensure accuracy of reports. Collaboration with RIPIN and Family Voices is essential.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience navigating state and community services on behalf of self or a family member.
• Experience supporting families or individuals with special care needs or accessing health programs.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Fluency in English; Spanish or Portuguese desired.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate information and support for families and groups.
• Develop and disseminate materials in multiple formats and languages as needed.
• Present workshops and trainings and coordinate events.
• Enter data and assist with state, federal, and funding reports.
• Collaborate with RIPIN programs and FV team on outreach and system change efforts.
