Job summary

Guardian Light Family Services is seeking dedicated staff to support Nebraska families and strengthen home environments. You will mentor families, coordinate community resources, and supervise parenting time while maintaining flexibility to meet case hours.

From day one you will receive supervision and a robust training program, with ongoing opportunities for professional growth and development within a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience supporting or mentoring others (paid, volunteer, or lived experience).
• A degree in human services is valued but not required.
• Must have timely and professional communication and the ability to build trust with families.

Responsibilities

• Guide and mentor families, acting as a bridge to community resources and support networks.
• Provide one-on-one skill teaching and coaching to parents and caregivers.
• Supervise parenting time and facilitate drug testing services as part of family support plans.
• Transport children to supervised visits; GLFS provides car seats as needed.
• Maintain autonomy and a flexible schedule while meeting assigned case hours.
• Attend weekly meetings and trainings; participate in 40+ hours of initial training and ongoing development.
