Job summary

Guardian Light Family Services (GLFS) is hiring to support Nebraska families through mentorship, parenting guidance, and coordination with community resources. The role involves one-on-one coaching, supervising visits, and occasional travel using a personal vehicle.

Start part-time with potential to grow to full-time based on performance. Compensation includes $20-22/hour plus a $3/hour weekend differential, mileage reimbursement, and access to training and benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience supporting or mentoring others.
• A degree in human services is valued but not required.
• Reliable personal vehicle for frequent travel and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Guide and mentor families, acting as a bridge to community resources, services, and support networks.
• Provide one-on-one skill teaching and coaching to parents and caregivers.
• Supervise parenting time (visitation) and facilitate drug testing as part of family support plans.
• Transport children to supervised visits; GLFS provides car seats.
• Attend weekly meetings and monthly agency-wide trainings; participate in 40+ hours of paid initial training.
