Job summary

ProBerco is recruiting Community Living Direct Support Professionals to join Our Team. This hourly position offers a $2,000 New Hire Sign-On Bonus and starting pay of $17.35 per hour, with shift differentials based on qualifications and experience.

You will provide in-home, community, and habilitative services to individuals living with their families or independently. Hours vary to meet service recipients' needs, and you will follow ISP plans while maintaining professionalism and compassion.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent is required.
• PA Driver’s license is required.
• Experience implementing outcomes and documentation experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled services in community settings and/or the service recipient’s home, including skill development and transportation as needed.
• Promote independence and growth for recipients.
• Follow each recipient’s ISP as written.
• Attend to physical needs and collaborate with caregivers and team.

POSITION SUMMARY

This hourly position will provide in-home, recreational, and habilitative services to individuals residing with their families or independently in the community. Hours of work will vary, depending on the needs of the service recipients. This position will be responsible to implement outcomes, follow the policies and procedures of Prospectus Berco, and cooperating with the specific requirements of each service recipient and/or their representative. This position will, at all times, demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and compassion while fulfilling the mission of Prospectus Berco.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTs

• 1. High School education and a demonstrated ability to support adults with special needs in a community setting.
• 3. PA Driver’s license.
• 4. Experience implementing outcomes and experience with documentation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1. Provide scheduled services in community settings and/or the service recipient’s home. Services may include skill development in activities of daily living, educational skill development or maintenance, communication skill development, sensory/motor skill development, adaptive behavior skill development, social skill development or maintenance, recreational activities, and/or transportation to required appointments and activities. Services will be provided in a supportive, caring, and safe manner and individual needs and differences will be respected.
• 2. Independence and growth will be promoted.
• 3. Follow each service recipient’s ISP as written.
• 4. Attend to physical needs as required for each service recipient, including those requiring specialized training or procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; or hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee may be required to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
• Safety precautions are observed in order to reduce incidents of risk factors for typical office environment which are adequately lighted, heated and ventilated.
• Example: avoiding trips and falls, back care, and observing fire regulations.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
• This job will primarily be performed inside under typical homelike conditions.
• The employee will occasionally perform the duties of this job outside in typical seasonal weather conditions.
• The employee will occasionally perform the duties of this job in an office setting and in other community resource settings such as restaurants and movie theaters.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
• The employee will frequently perform the duties of this job in a car.
