Job summary

Plymouth-Canton Community Schools' Canton High School is seeking a Secondary Assistant (Family Style) to prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks, and to maintain kitchen sanitation and daily paperwork. The role supports cafeteria operations and ensures meals align with family-style regulations.

The position reports to the Cafeteria Manager and Food Services Director, requires a high school diploma, and offers up to 35 hours per week at a starting rate of $16.74 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Good organizational and communications skills.
• Must be ServSafe Manager certified within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists in management operations and covers duties when the Cafeteria Manager is absent.
• Prepares meals for programs according to the planned menu.
• Follow menus and USDA/food program specifications and maintain proper portion controls.
• Manages kitchen and serving areas for family-style meals and distributes to classrooms.
• Assists with ordering, inventory, and communicating kitchen needs.
