Purpose Of Position

A Family Services Supervisor at Catholic Charities:

  • Ensures the delivery of high-quality case management services, focusing on trauma-informed care and addressing the social determinants of health for participants.
  • This position supervises caseworkers, oversees workflow processes, and ensures compliance with program policies and standards. The Supervisor supports the mission and values of Catholic Charities, fostering a safe, supportive environment for both staff and participants.
  • Models Catholic Charities’ commitment to treating all persons with respect and dignity, with Trauma-Informed language and behavior.
  • Ensure the professional, ethical, and effective delivery of services, adhering to Catholic Charities’ mission and values.
  • Oversee program policies and procedures to ensure consistency with trauma-informed principles, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Manage crisis situations, offering guidance and support to staff while maintaining safety for participants.
  • Ensures that programs, services, records, and client files are in- compliance with licensing, accreditation, state and federal standards and other appropriate regulatory or professional requirements through regular monitoring and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Promotes and adheres to Catholic Charities’ vision, mission, values and Code of Ethics.
  • Coordinate training and foster development of staff to ensure a consistently high quality of care with an emphasis on ongoing growth and learning.
  • Collaborates with the Operational Manager to ensure the Safety and Security of participants
  • Collaborate with fellow Catholic Charities programs, community partners, and referral sources through prompt and regular communication to build positive working relationships and to provide optimal services to clients.
  • Attend program-related community, committee meetings, and events as appropriate.
  • Compiles accurate and timely program statistical data to meet reporting requirements. Monitor’s performance measurements and recommends program improvements.
  • Conduct regular audits of client files and data to ensure accuracy and compliance with program standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Supervises the social case workers/case managers in accordance with Agency values and policies, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Management experience in social service setting with working knowledge of case management systems and planning techniques.
  • Knowledge of the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and the appropriate techniques and practices for the client population. Such as knowledge on homelessness, substance abuse/recovery (or impacts of), domestic violence and behavioral health care necessary.
  • Ability to work effectively within the framework of Catholic teachings and ability to effectively lead and motivate staff through application of Agency values
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of computers to input information, maintain client and program data, create and generate reports, and create communications.
  • Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and with a diverse client base.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, Education or Sociology and at least four years of increasingly responsible employment in related field required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Valid CO driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and proof of insurance required.
  • CPR, First Aid and AED or ability to obtain within 45 days of employment.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $25.00-$27.00 per hour. This is a 40 hour per week position.

Training: We provide a robust training curriculum that will support our employees throughout their

career. Training provided within the first year of employment includes: De-escalation & Safety;

Mental Health First Aid; Substance Abuse & Mental Health; Human Trafficking; Trauma Informed

Care; and many more.

Benefits: In addition to being part of a higher purpose while working in a challenging yet rewarding

environment, eligible Catholic Charities employees receive a generous benefits package, including:

  • Part-time employees (20-29 hours per week) also receive paid annual leave, company paid

holidays, and 403b retirement plan with agency contribution and match.

  • Shift is Full Time, 40 hours per week.
  • Extensive Paid Time Off (4 weeks accrual for new employees - increasing based on tenure) promoting work life balance.
  • 15 Paid Holidays annually (shelters are 24/7, so if a holiday is worked, holiday pay is in included.)
  • 403b Retirement Plan with Agency contribution of 4% & match up to 2% of annual compensation.
  • Choice of 3 PPO Medical Plans (90% of employee's and 75% of dependent’s premiums is paid by Agency), Dental, & Vision starting the 1st day of the month following start date.
  • May be eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through Federal Student Loans and many more benefits.

holidays, and 403b retirement plan with agency contribution and match.
