Job summary

Oklahoma Department of Human Services in Antlers, Oklahoma, seeks a full-time employee to greet clients in a retail space, assess eligibility for Adult and Family Services, interview clients in-office or by phone, and manage a caseload. Mandatory in-office training, including JumpSTART Training, with travel and lodging paid, and a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• Level I requires two years of clerical office work in a business/public sector/social work environment or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Level II requires a bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree plus two years of clerical office work; or equivalent combination substituting one extra year of experience for each bachelor’s degree year; or two years as a Family Services Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients professionally and kindly in an OKDHS retail space.
• Assess the needs of individuals and determine eligibility for specific programs for Adult and Family Services.
• Interview clients in an office setting or via phone.
• Manage a caseload.
• Compile data and complete documentation to determine eligibility.
• Make appropriate program referrals to community resources.
• Participate in individual and staff conferences.
• Must attend all mandatory training associated with the position.

Education

Two years clerical office work in business/public sector/social work environment

Bachelor's degree

Associate's degree + two years clerical office work

Equivalent combination substituting education/experience
