Addus Homecare in Illinois is seeking a Family Service Specialist to support families in crisis through DCFS programs, including supervision visits and housing assistance. You will travel to families in their homes, teach essential life skills, and document progress in detailed reports.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid drivers license. A dependent automobile and strong interpersonal skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or 2 years child welfare experience required.
• Must have a dependable automobile and valid drivers license.

Responsabilités

• Assist families in crisis through DCFS programs.
• Provide transportation for parent and/or children to and from locations for supervised visitation.
• Teach homemaking, parenting, and anger management skills.
• Supervise and observe visits; redirect as needed.
• Prepare written reports and maintain accurate records; submit monthly progress reports.
