Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field or related field required.
• Minimum two years of related experience if degree is in a non-human services field.
• Possession of a BSW or MSW is desirable.
• Commonwealth of Virginia Social Worker license desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interprets laws, policies and regulations as applied to the area of responsibility.
• Coordinates services within the area of responsibility and monitors programs.
• Interviews and assesses customer needs and supports planning.
• Communicates rules/regulations and rights to participate.
• Writes/implements service plans and provides case management.
• Manages program waiting lists and monitors expenditures.
• Completes planning and reporting requirements for federal, state and local bodies.
• Coordinates with agencies and participates in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Provides after-hours on-call coverage in child/adult protective services and foster care.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field

Bachelor's degree in any field with 2+ years related experience

BSW or MSW desirable

Virginia Social Worker license desirable
