Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience in social work, child care, or working with families is preferred.
• Must have a dependable automobile, a valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance.
• Must pass required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Support families to prevent the permanent placement of children.
• Provide transportation for parent and/or children for supervised visitation.
• Teach and demonstrate homemaking and parenting skills.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare written reports.
• Locate housing and community supports for families in need.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Associate’s degree or 2 years of child welfare experience
